After Willie Nelson missed a series of shows this past weekend as part of the Outlaw Music Festival, the 91-year-old country legend has been cleared by his doctors and will return to performing this week. Nelson will finally join the tour on Tuesday, July 2nd at Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. An official announcement was made on Nelson’s Instagram page, “Willie Nelson has been cleared by his doctors to go back on the road again. Willie will not be on this weekend’s dates. Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, [and] Celisse will perform as scheduled for all shows this weekend. In addition, Lukas Nelson and Family along with some special guests will play his own set which will include Willie’s classics and other songs.” The three Outlaw Music Festival dates that Willie missed this past weekend were in Syracuse, New York on June 28, Wantagh, New York on June 29, and Holmdel, New Jersey on June 30.
