Trace Adkins took the opportunity to defend Jason Aldean and Morgan Wallen during a recent appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast.
During the conversation, Maher brought up Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town” video, which was filmed at the location of a 1927 lynching. The country singer told Maher, “He had no idea. That director picked that location because it had the look he wanted.”
During the same interview, he also addressed the controversy surrounding Wallen’s use of a racial slur in 2021.
Adkins said, “He sold out two nights in a row, 55,000+ tickets each night. You know? God, cancel me.”
