Morgan Wallen’s hit collaboration with Ernest, “Cowgirls” has given the country superstar his fourth No. 1 of 2024 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. With his current chart-topper, Wallen becomes only the third artist to notch four No. 1s on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in a single year. He joins Luke Combs, who accomplished the feat back in 2021, and Garth Brooks, who achieved the milestone twice, in both 1991 and 1993. “Cowgirls” is Wallen’s 14th career Country Airplay No. 1, and becomes Ernest’s first chart-topper as a recording artist. In addition to “Cowgirls,” Wallen’s other three Country Airplay No. 1s in 2024 are “Mamaw’s House” by Thomas Rhett, which features Wallen, “Man Made a Bar,” which features Eric Church, and Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” which also features Wallen. Brooks is the only artist to reach the four Country Airplay No. 1s in a year milestone as a lead artist on each song. (Billboard)
