Maren Morris took to social media on Sunday to share the news that she is a proud bisexual. The singer has long been an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and celebrated Pride month with her new Instagram post that she captioned, “happy to be the B in LGBTQ+ happy pride ????.” In October of 2023, Morris filed for a dissolution of marriage from her then husband, Ryan Hurd, after five years of marriage. The former couple share a 4-year-old son together named Hayes. In a 2023 Billboard interview, Morris spoke out against the 450 anti-LGBTQ+ bills that were being pushed forward by state governments throughout the country. “The fact is, they don’t have solutions for actual problems — this is their niche thing that they get to go off on. I’m from Texas, I live in Tennessee, and I do love the community I have there, but these bills almost incentivize us to turn on one another.” (People)
