Elvie Shane Announces His Next Album

SHARE NOW

Elvis Shane has announced his next album, titled Damascus.

According to Taste of Country on Sunday (January 7th), Shane said in a statement that the project includes 13 songs, which he either wrote or cowrote, and is a continuation of his 2021 breakout album, Backslider.

Shane explained, "I feel like I've grown a lot since Backslider. I've attained just about everything I've ever dreamed of…seen the world and made a living with music. I've been on top and back down in the mud. In that travel and experience, I've paid close attention to people more than anything. I've seen a lot of struggle, but in that struggle, I found common ground and inspiration. Damascus is a record that aims to pick a fight with what holds people down. Normal every day Blue Collar America…my people. These are not all my stories, but they are all stories I believe to be true."

Damascus, which features Little Big Town, is due out on April 19th.

Shane will apparently be sharing music prior to the release of the album, while on a 10-stop tour called The Damascus Acoustic Stories Tour.
