Dolly Parton’s “Let It Be” Cover Marks First Time Two Ex-Beatles Are On A Charting Song As Separate Artists

Dolly Parton’s forthcoming album features her take on iconic songs including “Let It Be.” The record is a dedicated cover album entitled Rockstar, and following the release of her take on the Beatles classic earned the single a No. 2 spot on Billboard charts this month. The rest of the album will go live the first week of September. Parton’s “Let It Be” made history as the only time Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have ever been considered separate featured artists on the same chart-topping single. Past credits have not been given to two members of the Beatles on the same song, marking the latest “Let It Be” cover extra special. (Consequence Sound)
