Over the weekend, Cody Johnson kicked off his tour with shows in Sacramento and Anaheim, both were sold out. The Leather Tour, runs through late September.
He also just released a video for his Top 10 single, “The Painter". The clip shows Cody at his ranch in Texas and his wife, Brandi is also in it.
We talked to Cody about the song and he pointed out his favorite line:
“My favorite lyric in ‘The Painter’ is ‘for every wall I built, she saw a canvas.’ If there’s anything that describes my marriage with my wife, Brandy, is I could try to build a wall if I wanted to, and she’s still gonna turn it into a canvas and turn it into something beautiful.
