Brantley Gilbert Alludes To Jason Aldean Controversy Onstage In Nashville

SHARE NOW

Brantley Gilbert spoke up in defense of Jason Aldean after the two performed together at Nickelback’s Get Rollin’ Tour stop in Nashville.

After the “Try That In A Small Town” singer left the stage Tuesday (Aug. 2nd) night, the Tennessean reports that Gilbert criticized “keyboard warriors,” who have tried to cancel Aldean over his latest single.

The “Bottoms Up” singer said he'd prefer face-to-face conversation with those he disagrees with, and added, “we live in a world where nobody gets punched in the face anymore.” He also joked that he wasn’t able to speak up online because his team controls his social media accounts since he is “a liability.”

Jelly Roll also joined Gilbert on stage. The two performed their 2022 track, “Son of the Dirty South.”
