GARTH BROOKS TO OPEN HONKY TONK ON MARCH 7TH: Garth Brooks announced Tuesday (February 20th) that he’ll be opening his Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk in Nashville on March 7th. According to the country star’s website, the 54,715-square-foot entertainment complex situated at 411 Broadway will be the largest honky-tonk on the strip.
JELLY ROLL'S DAUGHTER RECALLS HOW HER MOM GOT HER HIGH: Jelly Roll’s daughter revealed that her mother encouraged her to drink and do drugs at age 14. Taste of Country reports that during a recent episode of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, Bailee Ann recounted the time she and her mother, Felicia Beckwith, started drinking together in the summer of 2022. She also recalled trying Beckwith’s “drug of choice” in a Dollar General parking lot at her mother’s behest. For the next couple of months, Bailee said she was “never sober…whether it was weed or I was drinking or I was vaping or snorting Valiums or Xanax or whatever I was doing.” The full podcast episode will be available on Wednesday (Feb. 21st).
