The Girl Guides Of Canada Bonnyville/Glendon
Guiding is more than crafts and cookies! Girls learn about career and cultural awareness, science and computer technology and the arts. They work on enviromental projects and explore important issues like cyber-bullying, self-esteem, and body image. In 2010, Girl Guides of Canada will celebrate its 100th anniversary of giving girls the chance to be the best they can be. As Canada's original girl-driven organization, Guiding remains at the forefront of offering dynamic, active, girl-centred programming for girls aged 5 to 17+. The Bonnyville Country Opry
A non-profit organization that stages musical performances in Bonnyville with the proceeds going to local charities, like, Haying in the 30's and local schools' musical programs. It is made up of amateur musical performers, and they are always looking for more performers, young or old to take the stage. Shows on the second Saturday of every month at 8pm at The Lyle Victor Albert Centre. Tickets available for $7 at Telliers Value Drug Mart or WIN them on The Wolf.
